Well SLAPT.ME

I, like a lot of SL merchants and residents, was taken by surprise by the changes on XStreet. I have been a supporter of SLexchange, as it was originally named, and Xstreet for a long time. Zak has had some scripts and toys he has created out there for years. When I closed Wedding Elegance, I put all of my cakes out on XStreet because it was a great place to have them if someone asked about buying one. I didn't have to keep up a store but I could tell people where to buy them. I don't market the cakes and I since there are several hundred wedding cakes and mine start with W, they don't come up on the first few pages. I do not want to pay L$10 per month per item to keep an inventory on Xstreet. I can put out a vendor on the sim or at the Figure 8 Club but it's out of place and a waste of prims.

After all the news about the changes I did some research on alternate sites and I decided to post the cakes on SLAPT.ME. We now have a SLAPT.ME terminal on Hatteras and anyone can come there to add money or manage their account. The slapt.me vendor box was also easy to set up and load with my inventory. The website is easy to use. It's not as refined as some of its competitors, but I am sure as it gains in popularity it will improve.
